As a contributor, you are taking the wealth of knowledge you've gained through your experiences in nature and offering them to your community in order to facilitate the joy, health, and healing that comes from communing with the outdoors.

To me, all versions of going back for your people are the goal. Black people connecting to nature, in any of the countless ways, is how we connect to our roots, our people, our ancestral healing.

By you sharing your stories and information on how we can all access the American outdoors, experience it in different ways, and finding joy or connection doing so is a way to honor your journey and be acknowledged for the value you bring.
