Major Taylor Iowa

Cycling

We have weekly group rides and occasional pop up rides. We also travel to ride with other Major Taylor cyclists from other states. We also have a youth club called Next Generation riders.

We are just one of many Major Taylor cycling clubs across that nation. These clubs are named after “Major” Marshall Walter Taylor a black cyclist and World Champion whose name was lost in black history. We ride to honor him and keep his legacy alive. We are a cycling club that advocates for black cyclists by cultivating a supportive community of like minded cyclists that build up, encourage equity and spark passion for the sport of cycling so it can be more accessible regardless of socioeconomic background, ethnicity or experience. We are a newer group in Iowa, established in March, 2022 and are looking to grow. Hoping you’ll join us!
